It is sad but inevitable that old people die. The obits are
full of notices that I check more frequently now as my own tread is wearing.
This week the old King of Saudi Arabia died and all world big shots rushed
there to kiss the ring of the new king. Obama was among them and even snubbed
India to do it.
The King of Saudi Arabia, whoever it may be, is a theocratic
fascist dictator. There is very little personal freedom in that country particularly
for women and the jails are full of people who dare to speak up. The people who
destroyed the World Trade Centre in New York were Saudi citizens. Obama bin
Laden was a Saudi prince. A great deal of the money supporting ISIS in Syria
and Iraq is coming from Saudis.
The Saudis have set about to destroy the economies of many
countries by deliberately depressing the price of oil. The Oil Sands project in
Canada is about to collapse and thousands of workers are out of work. Should
Mr. Baird kiss the ring of the next king of Saudi Arabia? Give me a break!
Wahhabi Muslims from Saudi Arabia finance most of the
mosques that have recently appeared in western countries and many of those
mosques encourage Muslims and others to fight for ISIS. The softly spoken goal
of Islam is to convert and then rule the world using Sharia law.
The King of Saudi Arabia is a self-serving despot and is not
a real friend of America, Europe or anywhere else in the free world.
I couldn't have said it better myself, except to add that going to bed with Israel only makes matters worse for everyone.
ReplyDeleteThe following sentence posed in your fourth paragraph enables me to draw attention to Islamic teaching in Canada; " Wahhabi Muslims from Saudi Arabia finance most of the mosques that have recently appeared in western countries and many of those mosques encourage Muslims and others to fight for ISIS."
ReplyDeleteMuch as I would like to see the end of mandatory religious education in our schools, it is unlikely to happen. Thus, the increasing emergence of Islamic madrasas (schools). This introduces a question of language. The purpose of Islamic education is to teach the Qu'ran ... not the Arabic language. This, now, creates another question; Should the English and French languages be the only languages used for all education subjects in Canada, including the Qu'ran?
There are English editions of the Qu'ran and an investigation of their availability in the madrasas should be an essential matter for our Education Ministery. If the imams are teaching Arabic versions of Qu'ran, and I believe that they are, we should be extremely worried that such editions could come into conflict with this countries 'hate' laws ... and the consequent radicalization of young minds.
When an imam talks of a religion of peace, does he mean a peace where only Islam exists?
