A journey into the unknowable
“Kim bought an old jewellery box at a garage sale. It was
not only old but very old with mystical properties that were built into it by the box maker, and by owners through the centuries as it passed from
hand to hand and country to country. A young English adventurer found the box
in India during the British Raj and it passed through his family collecting the
spirits of his descendants to the present day. Kim inadvertently is swallowed
into the box and taken back in time to British Calcutta where she must stay
until she can discover the key to release the spirits inside and return to her
own time and family.”

The old box might have looked like this one which came from Damascus,
Syria as a memento of a visit there long before the dreadful civil war
happening now.
