The Christmas/New Year celebration period is winding down. The buildup to the purchasing frenzy starts in early November as merchants crank up the advertising and create expectations that happiness can be bought and exchanged as gifts. When we are children that may largely be true but as adults it is less so although when love is part of the process it can still be felt. However when the wrappings are put into the recycle bin and the tinsle is taken down there is often a feeling of depression or at least let down.
Thank goodness the month of January presents a clean slate and we can back to normal.
Here's a winter photo for your pleasure particularly if you live in the Southern Hemisphere.
I call this one "Ghosts in the Snow waiting for Spring"
