Happy 4-20

Happy 4-20. Most of us know that it was international toke up day last Friday . I heard an interesting interview with some dudes in California who have evidence to support the fact they coined the term and its application in the context. Personally, I have never toked preferring alcohol as a drug but in the late 70's I grew plants in pots (no pun intended). At one time I had a leafy beauty on the back porch in Scarborough. It mysteriously disappeared never to be seen again. I guess some pervert enjoyed the fruits of my labour but I never grew it again.

I was not surprised to see most of the government heads of Central and South America want a change in the war on drugs. America and Canada of course rejected it. I can understand Harper the asshole but Obama seemed to be more realistic. However, the leaders in the great republic are so involved in war on anything they do not know when they have lost and lord knows they have lost more than their share of wars lately. So the war will continue and young people will be jailed at great cost to the citizens when the option is revenue for the treasury from taxes on the substance. The justice industry including police, lawyers, judges, jail guards and associated infrastructure creates more highly paid jobs than legally growing, packaging and selling pot.
