Ebooks

Ebooks are said to be to way people will read books and magazines in the future. Amazon is one on the organizations selling ebooks for their Kindle ereaders. Kobo is their main competition with ebooks aimed at the Kobo reader.
Both Kindle and Kobo ereaders are handy devices. light, easy to use and with many features similar to a tablet. Many readers find a Kindle or Kobo lighter and easier to use than a tablet and this is important if they read in bed. I found my Samsong tablet was not a good choice as an ereader compared to my Kobo.
Buy an ebook from Amazon or Kobo for a Kindle or Kobo reader is easy and the book is easily downloaded on the reader. A Kindle book may not download to a Kobo and vice versa and this is a defect in the industry.
There are many other sites where all kinds of ebooks are available. One is Club Lighthouse Publishers where several of my books are posted. Publishers like this provide books in many formats for the readers including Kindle, epub, Word, pdf etc. The purchaser usually must download a book to their computer and then drag it to their ereader by various means. The ereader is plugged into the computer using a USB port and treated as a flash drive or remote hard drive.
The epub format is the best choice for a Kobo reader and of course the Kindle format is best for a Kindle reader.
